Active duty military, military spouses and veterans will have an opportunity to connect with representatives from leading schools September 19 from 2-6 pm CST. The free online event offers those interested in finding military-friendly schools the chance to ask questions about policies, programs, and real-world experiences.
“The upcoming virtual college fair will provide an unprecedented opportunity for service members, spouses and veterans to engage with our organization during the school search process,” said Michael Dakduk, Executive Director of the Student Veterans of America (SVA). “The interactive, virtual format is especially efficient for introducing service members deployed overseas or those still in uniform to our SVA chapters on school campuses nationwide.”
Participating schools were selected through a competitive survey and application process. Survey and selection criteria include certifications, military-friendly programs and policies, financial support and commitment to veterans, recruiting and accreditation. Methodology, criteria and weightings for the survey were developed by Victory Media with assistance from an academic advisory board of educators from schools nationwide. Findings were independently tested by Ernst & Young LLP.
